Saving the Seas of life

Koh Tao is one of the worlds 10 most wonderful diving destinations. The coral reef of Koh Tao exhibits abundant diversity and beauty, attracting at least 320,000 tourists from around the globe annually and has gained more than two billion baht income locally and nationally per year.

However, the Island has been rapidly developed non-stop, causing unwise business or activities being created, such as those releasing waste into the sea, run off from the hill to the coral reefs, killing or breaking coral, throwing anchors onto pristine coral reef and so on.  All will affect the marine ecosystem negatively. Therefore, we must raise awareness, research, monitor coral and endangered species and set up proper rules and regulations in order to manage our marine natural resources used in our tourism industry.
